WHEEL BALANCING
Incorrect wheel balancing causes vibration in the steering wheel
and dashboard but can also cost you money! Incorrect wheel balancing
causes premature wear of tyres and rapid wear of suspension parts.
If you find that your steering ‘wobbles’ above a certain
speed, this may be a sign that your wheels are not balanced properly.
If left, this can be uncomfortable to drive, but may affect the
performance of your vehicle.
Balancing your wheels will help your vehicle's:-
• Road holding and handling characteristics
• Fuel economy
• Suspension and steering components
• Tyres against uneven and increased wear
When you purchase new tyres from Trent Valley Tyres Ltd we will
always balance your wheels. This is because new tyres will often
have inconsistencies in the rubber compound, wheel balancing will
take account of this and encourage even wear on your new tyres.
Trent Valley Tyres Ltd recommend you have your wheels checked
and balanced after a shock, such as a high kerb or large pothole.
Our experience tyre technician will use the latest digital balancing
equipment to ensure your wheel is balanced.

can cause rapid and abnormal tyre wear and wear on steering components.
Events such as hitting a kerb or driving through a pothole can
result in misalignment.

at least once a year. As well as this if you notice any of the
following symptoms, please bring your vehicle to us for a quick
check by one of our experienced technicians.

for example hit a kerb or pot hole.

SHOCKS
Your suspension helps to keep your tyres firmly on the road ensuring
maximum contact from braking, steering and general road handling.
When your suspension components become worn your driving experience
changes from smooth and precise to bumpy and vague and does not
fill you with a great deal of confidence.
Trent Valley Tyres Ltd will be more than happy to inspect your
suspension, and if we find an area of concern we can replace your
worn suspension parts. |
